Knights Knation Baseball is excited to announce its launch of an affiliate location in Dallas, Texas. Josh Salim will serve as the affiliate director and lead the day-to-day operations of the program. Initially, the Dallas teams will be comprised of youth teams and be known as Knights Knation Dallas.
Director of Program Development, Mike Sepcich, said “a move like this for us signifies our program’s reach across the South. It is a testament to our network of coaches. We continue to be guided by our core mission and welcome the opportunity to step into the Dallas area with a well-respected baseball guy like Josh who already has an established program.” Sepcich added, “our network of baseball guys who aim to help players develop to reach their potential became much stronger today.”
Knights Knation President, Jack Cressend echoed those sediments. “Knights Knation reaches far and wide with relationships across the country. It is always fun when you have an opportunity to connect with like-minded baseball people. The opportunity to work with Josh Salim in Dallas came about through our Monroe Affiliate Director, Bill Pearson, and is something that will bring value to our program, our players, and further strengthens our network. We look forward to great things in the future in Dallas and across our program.”
“We are very excited to be joining Knights Knation as the Dallas Affiliate! As one of the fastest growing travel baseball organizations in the south, their desire for building up players on and off the field is seldom matched. It is our privilege to share the #4L culture with our 11u team and future teams in the DFW area,” said Josh Salim. Josh added, “In our talks with Jack, Bill, and the other Knights staff it was apparent their program is truly player driven and a great fit for baseball in the state of Texas. I am excited for our players, families, coaches, and staff to develop a partnership with Knights Knation.”
Josh Salim has been a youth baseball coach for several years. He has a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with High Honors and a Coaching Minor from Ouachita Baptist University. Josh helped establish and launch Sports Broadcasting Networks and Weekly Sports Shows at Ouachita Baptist University and Oral Roberts University. From 2016-2020, Josh was a middle infielder and utility starter for Ouachita Baptist University. He also served as play-by-play broadcaster and color commentator for more than 400 games across 8 sports and 10 states from 2017-2021. Josh also served as a stats and graphics assistant for several ESPN national and regional games. Josh attended Prestonwood Christian Academy where he won a baseball state championship and was a three-year all district member.
The Knights’ mission is to provide its players with all the necessary resources to fully develop not only as baseball players but also as young men. Player development is the organization’s central focus to guide players to become the best version of themselves.
