FAQ- HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM

We offer multiple tryout dates throughout the year. We generally have our Fall High School  tryouts in August and our Summer tryouts in December/January. Players who have conflicts  with our tryout dates can try and schedule a private evaluation but it depends solely on staff  availability. Our tryout dates are announced on our social media pages and on our website. Click here if you are interested in joining the Knights

Our rosters are invite only. We use our tryouts to evaluate players, but we also count on our  vast network of high school, college coaches and professional scouts who constantly  recommend players to us. We have multiple teams in each age group and players are placed  according to their skill level and where they will get the most opportunity for playing  time/exposure.

We initially group our players based on their current ability level and where they fit in within their grad class. We strategically place our guys where they will get the most playing time and  the best opportunity for exposure. Our teams are given different names to differentiate them  from one another within the program. However, the team’s name is insignificant. Over the last  six years in the 2017-2022 graduating classes, we have had 460 college commits to 126  different schools. The bottom line is we believe all our players will/should have the opportunity  to play at the next level and that ultimately falls on each individual young man.

Our 2024 Summer High School player fee is $2250 which is divided up into 5 installments. This  player fee covers everything except our Marucci uniform package. Uniforms are ordered on  our Marucci site and generally in the $250-$300 range and will include 3 custom jerseys, game  hat, and helmet/bag. Our Fall uniform packages are generally about $150 and include 2  performance jerseys and game hat.

We believe playing time is earned and the players that play the best play the most. All players  will get their fair share of playing time but their performance matters. Players will learn to  compete for playing time in our program and this will benefit them in the long term with their  high school programs and at the college level.

We generally have 14-16 players on a team. Every roster is different based on the number of  pitchers. We build our rosters in general to have 10-11 pitchers and 12-13 position players.

We will play in multiple regional events at college campuses as well as several National events.  We generally attend the Perfect Game WWBA Championships, Future Star Series, and PBR  National Program Invitational. We will also attend various Team USA events and other National  events held by different tournament organizations. Every team does not attend the National  events. Each year is different, and we will send our teams who we feel are ready to compete at  the National level.

We have one of the best coaching staffs in the country and your son will have access to our  entire group of coaches. We have coaches who have played in the major leagues, several that  have played professionally, and the majority who have played at the college level. We also  have several coaches who are currently head coaches at the high school level and several who  have college coaching experience. Our staff is available to all our players, and you won’t find a  better collection of coaches anywhere.

We have had tremendous success with helping our players reach the next level over the course  of our 17-year history. Our goal is for every player to play in college. Obviously, we could  never guarantee this, but the large majority of our players do end up playing in college. Our  success rate is nearly 75 percent since our program’s inception. So roughly 7 out of every 10  players in our program will generally play college baseball. This is something that takes a group  effort but ultimately falls on the player and his commitment to making this happen.

#4L = For Life. This is something our program truly believes in, and we want our players to be a  part of this program for life. We have many alumni who are still involved in our program and  contribute in many ways. We want our players to have a sense of pride in the Knights program  and feel they are part of something bigger than themselves. Building relationships for life is a  big part of our mission. Once you join our organization, you will see #4L in action and realize  that it is more than a hashtag!

The Knights program is a member of the Marucci Franchise Club, which is a select group of  programs across the country. We are very lucky to be part of this exclusive group of  organizations. Our players have year-round access to Marucci products at a significant  discount. Players will receive this information when they join the program. We also are  partners with Virtual Combine which gives our players an online profile to house all their  pertinent recruiting information. Videos, stats, awards, academic info, and much more will be  easily accessible to send out to college coaches / pro scouts.

The Kastle is our programs headquarters and is an 8000 square foot indoor training facility located at 106 Campbell Ave, Mandeville, LA. This facility is available to Knights players year round. Players have access via a door code and can train 24/7. This is available only for Knights  players at no additional charge as it is simply part of your spot in our program. The Kompound  is our newest facility located just minutes from the Kastle and includes a field and 3500 square foot indoor training area. We will primarily utilize this facility for our youth program.
