Perennial state contender, Saint Thomas
More (STM) High School, has joined the
Knights’ LAK Summer Program for the 2023
summer. STM Baseball has a deep winning
tradition: 4-time Louisiana State Champion; 4-
time Louisiana State Runner-Up; 10-time
Louisiana State Semi-Finalists; and winners of 26 District Baseball Titles. The
Cougars are one of the more respected baseball programs in Louisiana and will be
an excellent addition to the Knights’ LAK Program.
With respect to adding STM as an LAK Partner, Knights President Jack
Cressend said the following: “STM is a program that we know very well and have
had several of their players participate in our program over the years. We are
thrilled to add Cass Hargis, his staff and STM Baseball to our LAK program. Our
focus on building strong relationships with HS coaches throughout the region has never been more important and adding a program like STM is a tremendous addition. We look forward to working with Coach Hargis, his staff, and their players to achieve great success together.”
Saint Thomas More Head Baseball Coach Cass Hargis had the following to say
about joining the Knights’ LAK Program, “St. Thomas More baseball is proud and
honored to partner with Knights Knation Baseball. Being associated with such a
well-respected organization will be a tremendous benefit to not only our program,
but most importantly our players. We are extremely excited to join the Knights and
look forward to a great partnership.”
The Knights launched the LAK Summer Program six- years ago to partner with
elite Louisiana High School Programs – to bridge the gap between high school and
select baseball. The Knights’ LAK Program was created with the vision to partner
with the very best high school programs in our region to work together for the
benefit of players. Experience has proven time-after-time that when you put your
players first everyone wins. STM will join Barbe, Catholic, Live Oak, Mandeville,
Brother Martin, Parkview Baptist, Holy Savior Menard and Zachary High Schools to play its summer
baseball under the Knights’ umbrella. The LAK partners will all participate in the
highly recruited LAK Baseball Classic run by 2D Sports at the end of June 2023.
The Knights’ mission is to provide its players with all the
necessary resources to fully develop not only as baseball
players but also as young men. Player development is the
organization’s central focus to guide players to become the best
version of themselves.
