The Louisiana Knights announced today that it will change its name to “Knights Knation Baseball” moving forward.  The move will be staged over time with a full transition by the Summer of 2021 for the high school program and by the Fall 2021 for the youth program.

“It was time,” said owner Jack Cressend.  “When we started our program in 2007, we started with one team that was made up of mostly of local Mandeville players.  Our name reflected who we were then.  But with the growth of our program – both with our high school and youth programs – our management team felt strongly about making a name change to reflect who we are now as an organization.”

Director of Program Development, Mike Sepcich, explained “We are a regional\national select baseball organization now based out of Louisiana; our players come to us from all over the Gulf South, and we now have multiple teams (high school and youth) based in Mississippi, Alabama, and even one in Texas.  We have been extremely fortunate to add some key baseball guys in Mississippi and Alabama to help us expand operations into those areas – our name needed to reflect those changes.”  Sepcich added, “with our recent staff additions, newly added facilities, strategic partnerships, and internal restructure, which includes our ‘Knights Knation Baseball’ name change, our program is poised to continue to support our players in their development for many years to come – it is truly a great time to be a Knight.”

The Knights was founded in 2007 by former major league pitcher Jack Cressend.  Over the last decade, the Knights program has helped hundreds of players reach their dreams of playing at the next level.  Knights players regularly compete on a national stage, helping the organization to be recognized as one of the nation’s top select baseball organization by Perfect Game, Future Star Series, PBR, and others.

The Knights’ mission is to provide its players with all the necessary resources to fully develop not only as baseball players but also as young men.  Player development is the organization’s central focus to guide players to become the best version of themselves.
