Bio: Shaffer is a Knights’ Alumni and a native of Biloxi MS, who prepped at Biloxi HS where he was awarded the 2017 Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year, Max Prep’s All-America honors, Mississippi Dandy Dozen, and MHSAA 6A All-State. After high school Trey continued his baseball career at Southeastern Louisiana Univ where from 2018-2021 he made 49 career appearances (18 starts) posting an 11-8 record and 5 saves in 127.1 innings with 179 strikeouts. In 2022 Trey transferred to LSU where he finished his collegiate career making 11 relief appearances, throwing 9 innings with 11 strikeouts.
