BIO: Former Knights player, Jerry Burkett II, is a native of Hattiesburg, MS. While playing at Hattiesburg HS Jerry helped lead his team to a 5A Mississippi State Championship in 2018. Burkett continued his playing career at Pearl River CC before moving on to play at Southern Univ in Baton Rouge where in 2021 the Jags won the SWAC Championship. In 2021-2022, Southern recognized Burkett as the Male Student Athlete of the Year. After finishing at Southern Jerry signed to play with Mahoning Valley Scrappers professionally. After spending two years (2024-2025) as an assistant at Liberty HS in Baton Rouge, Jerry took a coaching job at Southern University to serve as a Graduate Assistant Coach.
