David Reynolds

David Reynolds is a native of Huntsville, Tx and was recruited to play football and baseball at Northwestern St University.  Reynolds was a 3 year starter at Shortstop for the Demons and earned team all-conference and all-conference tourney honors his freshman year. David was selected in the 22nd Rd of the 1985 MLB draft by the Chicago White Sox. During his 1st season in the White Sox organization he played both SS and 3rd but converted to pitcher prior to 2nd season.  In his 1st season on the mound Reynolds was selected to the Class A Midwest League All-Star team. He pitched his final 6 seasons compiling a 36-28 record, 22 saves and a 3.47 ERA. He signed as a 6 year free agent with the Atlanta Braves before finishing his playing career in 1992.

David is the father of former LSU tiger pitcher and current Knights coach Russell Reynolds. David will be in his 4th summer with the Knights in 2022.
