BIO: A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Schmidt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Central Arkansas in 2016. During his collegiate career as a pitcher, Brandon had stops at Central Arkansas & Crowder College. Schmidt started his coaching career in 2015 serving as the pitching coach at Little Rock Central HS where he spent 3 seasons. In 2018, Brandon began a 7 year span where he was an assistant at Hendrix College in Arkansas. Schmidt served several roles while at Hendrix including pitching coach, recruiting coordinator, and strength & conditioning coach. Schmidt served as the Head Coach for the Texarkana Twins in the Texas Collegiate Summer League. Prior to the 2025-2026 school year, Brandon was named the Head Coach for Baton Rouge CC.
