Jeffrey Elkins played his HS ball at Ascension Episcopal where in his senior year, 2017, he was named the 1A State Player of the Year and an All American. After high school, Elkins spent 1 year at UL-Lafayette before transferring to Northwestern State where he garnered All-Southland Conference Honors twice in his four years. While at Northwestern State, Elkins amassed 199 hits including 36 HRs while driving in 134 RBI.
